The professional English course comprises 42 hours of instruction , organized into two 2.5-hour sessions per week (5 hours/week) . The course spans 2 months.
The program addresses key themes in corporate communication:
Professional glossary : vocabulary of industrial and commercial activities, job titles, information processing, professional correspondence, recruitment and applications, etc.
Grammar : review of essential grammatical points applied to the business context (verb tenses, formal structures, professional idiomatic expressions).
Oral expression : knowing how to introduce oneself and talk about one's work environment, describing the activities of one's company, making short presentations, taking and leaving telephone messages.
Written communication : drafting memos, emails, letters and professional reports; handling complaints in writing; summarizing texts and making formal requests for information.
Listening comprehension : intensive listening to conversations, interviews and presentations typical of the working world in order to develop comprehension of spoken English in a professional context.
Method and materials:
The teaching method emphasizes an interactive and practical approach, focused on real-life scenarios:
Alternating between theory and practice, through role-playing games and professional simulations (meetings, interviews, presentations).
Use of authentic documents: emails, job offers, company announcements, extracts from the business press and videos in English.
Working in small groups promotes oral expression, spontaneity and confidence.
