The "digital discovery" training course comprises 40 hours organized into five 2-hoursessionsper week (10 hours/week). The course spans 1 month.
Discovering the computer
Understand the main components (screen, keyboard, mouse, internal units).
Knowing how to start, shut down and secure a computer workstation.
General organization of an operating system .
Getting started with the operating system
File and folder management.
Basic settings: display, devices, updates.
Using the search bar and built-in tools
Introduction to the Internet
Navigate safely.
Use a browser, perform relevant searches.
Understanding best practices for confidentiality
First contact with the messaging service
Creating and managing an email address.
Sending, receiving, attachments.
Organization and essential safety rules.
Teaching method and materials
Alternating guided presentations, demonstrations and practical exercises on individual workstations. Digital materials provided at the end of the module.
